It’s getting hot in here… so sit down with an ice cold drink and have a read!

Hello everyone! I’m back with another busy newsletter for you! I hope you’ve all been enjoying the hot weather. I’m down in the south of England so it’s been particularly HOT. As always, I’ve got a lot going on and my life feels like it’s in a continuous state of chaos. So prop your feet up, and enjoy 💙

I can’t believe it - but there’s actually FOUR MONTHS until release day! I didn’t even realise until I was typing these very words. The time has flown by, and I’m in literal shock that it won’t be long now until POTPS is here.

This month, I’ve been working on the final copy and line edits for Prince of the Phantom Sky. I feel like it’s in a really good place now, and I love this stage of the process where it’s starting to read like the final product 😍

In June, I’ll be handing it over to the lovely Meg at Humble Author Services to work her magic and format it into an e-book and paperback with some stunning chapter headers. What’s more is that POTPS is now available to pre-order on Amazon, as well as add to your TBRs on Goodreads! 🎉

As you know, I’ve now taken a break from events, and my next one will be Literary Escape Festival in London on Saturday 17th October.

Like last month, these are the events I can currently tell you about! However, All Booked Up has changed and I’ll now be attending both days - yay! But not to worry, there are plenty more events for me to announce soon 👀

My pre-order forms are now live for all of these events! This includes Prince of the Phantom Sky, and a bundle offer with Daughter of the Dark Sea as well.

As you know I’m with the amazing Whimsy Words PR, and we’re currently in the process of announcing a street team opportunity! This will come with a whole host of amazing perks. Street team members will also have guaranteed access to e-ARCs meaning you can be among the first to read Prince of the Phantom Sky!

SURPRISE! I’ve been building my very own store front behind the scenes so I can sell my books direct to you, my lovely readers 💙 I’ve set this up via Beventi, as my products are already listed there for all events that I’m attending, and to be honest, it’s super easy to use.

Right now, I’m waiting for some stock to arrive, along with some new bookmarks. Once I have this, I’ll be setting my store live - along with a wholly refreshed website 🙂 You’ll be able to order signed paperbacks from myself, along with some swag to go alongside it. This also includes pre-ordering signed paperbacks of Prince of the Phantom Sky!

And the surprises just keep on coming! It’s my birthday in June, and with the release of Prince of the Phantom Sky approaching, along with street team applications opening next month, I’ve decided to put Daughter of the Dark Sea on sale for the whole month (e-book only!).

With ARC applications for POTPS opening in August as well, it just feels like the perfect time to get DOTDS out there, and hopefully find some new readers. Not sure about anyone else, but May has been a really hard month for page reads and sales.

I’ve gone a bit character art mad this year, and I have ANOTHER PIECE to reveal to you!

What’s even better, is this is the official portrait of green flag, golden retriever energy, goddamn FIRE Raiden Windward that I know you’re all a bit obsessed with from his two-chapter cameo in Daughter of the Dark Sea.

Isn’t it STUNNING! My jaw hit the floor when Karolina sent it to me, and I honestly can’t wait to reveal it to everyone else! She captured him perfectly, and the background? Absolute chef’s kiss.

So, as I’ve mentioned before, I’ve commissioned a special edition for Daughter of the Dark Sea! Well, I can now say we’re really close to the final product - ahhhh!

Meg at Humble Author Services has created the most beautiful interior formatting for me, with some stunning full bleed chapter introduction pages. I’m just waiting for the final cover files, and then I can order my first proof!

When I say you’re not ready for this special edition - I mean YOU ARE NOT READY. In next month’s newsletter, I’ll be able to reveal the final product to you all! 😍

This month’s author spotlight is Realms of Ruin by Nika McKinney, the first book in the Astral & Nokts series. Following an ice-wielding, violent and very much emotionally closed off FMC (relatable), she meets an alluring male who begins to unravel the truth of her life, and make her question everything she’s ever known. And if she falls in love with him, it might cost her the realm.
